Celebrate the courage it takes to cast spells and recognize that each experience, regardless of the outcome, contributes to your wisdom. Take a deep breath, hold your head high, and allow self-compassion to wash over you. You’re not any less a witch, just because things didn’t go as planned.

We’ve previously chatted about when spells go wrong, and why. So let’s get into the aftermath, and what you can do next. As a witch with a Capricorn stellium in her natal chart, I wanna share some tips & insights with you so that you can make the most of “when things do go wrong” to become a moment of self-development and growth.

🌙 Realigning Intentions

It’s time for some self-reflection with bonus compassion: Take the time to sit quietly, and revisit the initial intentions you set for your spell. Approach this reflection with an open heart, without judgment or self-criticism. Recognize that life is a fluid journey, and our desires naturally evolve. Accept this change as a beautiful part of your personal growth as a modern witch. Allow self-compassion to flow freely, understanding that each moment is a stepping stone on your magickal path. Allow zero space for an inner-critic to raise their unfounded opinions.

Create your own sacred space where you can engage in meditative practices. Envision your intentions as the brightest star in the night sky, radiating with a gentle yet unwavering light. Feel this energy envelop you, guiding you back to your path with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity. Trust the whispers of your heart during this visualization, as it holds the wisdom of your truest desires.

If you sense a calling to adapt your spell, snatch this up as an opportunity for growth and transformation. Modern witchcraft is a living, breathing practice, and our craft evolves with us. Infuse your revised spells with love and intention, pouring your heart into the magick you're weaving. This act of revising is not a sign of failure but a beautiful expression of your maturing as a witch, showing that you are attuned to the ebb and flow of your own journey.

🌙 Cleansing Your Energy

Nature is a nurturing haven for our spirits, truly. Spend time outdoors, whether it's in a forest, a garden, or a park. Allow the earth's gentle foundations to cleanse and recharge your energy. Walk barefoot on the grass, hug a tree, listen to the soothing sounds of a flowing stream, or feel the breeze on your skin. Let nature's magick work as it harmonizes your spirit with the natural world.

Engage in purifying rituals that resonate with you and your preferences. Herbal smoke cleanses with your garden sage, burning incense, or using cleansing crystals can clear away any lingering doubts or negative energies. As the smoke swirls around you, visualize it carrying away these unwanted energies, leaving you feeling refreshed, revitalized, and re-energized.

Treat yourself to a warm salt bath, seeing the water as a healing container. Envision the water enveloping you, washing away any stagnant energy that might have been lingering. Feel it cleanse not just your physical body but also your energy, leaving you with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to face the magic that lies ahead.

We’ve gotta go acknowledge the “journey”. Celebrate every step you've taken on your magickal journey, both the moments of smooth sailing and the winding paths. Recognize that every experience, even when spells veer off course, contributes to your wisdom and growth as a witch. Each twist and turn is a unique thread in the tapestry of your magickal practice.

Incorporate a daily gratitude practice into your life if you’ve not got one already. By focusing on the positive aspects of your life, you realign your energies with the abundance and beauty that surrounds you. Gratitude is a potent magick that opens the door to a brighter and more harmonious existence.

As a modern witch, you are always evolving and learning. Forgive yourself for any perceived shortcomings, knowing that growth involves both successes and setbacks. Release any self-blame or disappointment, allowing these feelings to dissipate like mist in the morning sun. Embrace the freedom that comes with letting go, empowering yourself to move forward on your magickal path with newfound grace and strength.

Moving forward, there are many different methods you can try to get you back into the flow you are seeking for your journey:

• Research through new books on Witchcraft and Magick in areas you haven’t looked into before but have been meaning to get to read

• Online communities or forums like facebook groups, amino and reddit

• Witch mentors and new witch friends

• Oracle and Tarot readings for more insights

• Other divination tools like pendulums, rune stones or scrying

• Personlised rituals of release to symbolically let go of what no longer serves you, making space for new opportunities and growth

You, my dear modern witch, possess the ability to navigate the ebb and flow of your magickal journey with resilience and grace. These practices are not just tools, but they’re acts of self-love and empowerment. Embrace them with an open heart, and let them weave your magickal tapestry.
